FROEBEL St Leonards

FROEBEL St Leonards is our newest Bilingual Early Learning Centre in Sydney, for 99 children from approx. 6 months to 6 years of age. We opened our doors in December 2015. The Department of Education has rated the centre at Exceeding the National Quality Standard in July 2016 - an extraordinary achievement only 6 months after the opening.

Together with our architects, Silvester Fuller, we have been able to create extraordinary and exciting play and learning spaces for children on four levels (including a rooftop playground), an exceptional workplace for early childhood teachers and educators, and contemporary communal spaces for families and guests.

Some of the highlights of the centre include themed, custom-built timber Activity Pods (inspired by the Froebel Gifts), climbing walls, swinging ropes, a rope climbing equipment, a 4.5m long LEGO wall, and a semi-open kitchen with kitchen theatre where the children can participate in our chef's cooking and baking activities.

The centre facilitates children's learning and development on many different levels – playful language learning (through our bilingual, English-German immersion concept), science & maths (particularly through our Little Scientists program), health & nutrition (fresh, nutritious meals are prepared daily by our own centre chef) as well as appropriate risk-taking

We offer you and your child an Orientation prior to your formal enrolment, designed to help your child settle in to the play and learning environments and to provide sufficient time for you and your child's educators to get to know each other and to discuss your child's routines, individual requirements, etc.

Our Early Learning Centre is located on 454-456 Pacific Highway, in the heart of the St Leonards-Wollstonecraft-Crows Nest triangle. Permanent and casual on-site parking is available to families in the centre's own car park (subject to availability). You can leave your car at FROEBEL after dropping off your child and commute to work from the centre with public transport. St Leonards train station is a short walk from the centre, and the Metrobus station is right near the centre as well. Please ask the Centre Director for details and booking fees.
